How to Join (3 quick steps)
- Create / log in to your Membership Toolkit account.
- Choose your membership (1 parent or 2 parent) for the 2026-2027 school year — you can add student memberships here too.
- Checkout — and if you’re able, add a donation to boost student programs.

Do I have to volunteer if I join?
Nope! Your membership dues alone help fund programs. Volunteering is optional.
Where does my $25 actually go?
Every PTA in the country sends part of each membership up to its state and national organizations. For us that’s $6.25 per member — $3.25 to National PTA, $2.00 to Free State PTA (Maryland’s state PTA), and $1.00 to MCCPTA, our Montgomery County council.
That’s not a fee for nothing. National PTA advocates for public schools in Annapolis and Washington, Free State PTA provides our insurance, training, and the nonprofit structure we operate under, and MCCPTA is how we coordinate with other Montgomery County schools.
The remaining $18.75 stays right here at Frost. It’s why we also ask for donations — memberships alone cover about half of what we spend on students and staff each year.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes! The PTSA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Can students join?
Yes. Student memberships are $10 and can be added at checkout with your family’s membership. The “S” in PTSA stands for Students — they’re full members with a voice in what we do.
Can non-parents and staff join?
Yes — Frost staff can join for $10, and grandparents, guardians, community members, and alumni are all welcome to join and support Frost students!
What if $25 doesn’t work for my family right now?
Please join anyway — email the PTSA board and we’ll take care of it, no questions asked. We would much rather have your family involved than have cost be the reason you’re not.
